Romanian Architectural tour
Starting from the “old Paris of Eastern Europe” the contemporary city Bucharest (having also a deep footprint of communists architecture) and reaching Iasi the bohemian University city, capital of Moldavia, you will bear witness to their differences and diversity. You will also be accompanied by a professional architect with whom you can discuss other themes also.
Day in Bucharest. This day will be fully dedicated to Bucharest. We will visit not only Bucharest but also the Mogosoaia Palace where we will have lunch. We will also visit the famous “communist building” the Parliament Palace. In the afternoon we will have a walking tour of the city . After this tour you can enjoy a beer and dinner in one of the oldest restaurants in downtown Bucharest. Dinner will also be accompanied by a wine tasting.
Tour about Iasi. Today we’ll visit Iasi from 2 points of view, from the architectural point and the religious one. We will be accompanied by a monk who will tell us about the orthodox world. We will enjoy a very special dinner in the most important monastery in Iasi where we will also have the pleasure of listening to a choir singing Byzantine music.
Brasov – Bucharest. We’ll drive over the Prahova Valley where we will stop to visit the Peles Castle in Sinaia. Peles Castle is the former residence of the Romanian Royal family. We will have lunch in Sinaia. In the afternoon we depart to Bucharest or directly to the airport for your home flight. You will be accommodated and enjoy a special farewell dinner in Bucharest.
